The Administration Department provides management of the department heads and human resources services for employees, develops a recommended budget for consideration by the Board, researches projects and program requirements and administers special projects for the Town.

The Town of Huntersville follows the Council-Manager form of government.  Under this form of government, residents elect a Mayor and Town Board of Commissioners, who then appoint a professional Town Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the town.  Most cities and counties in North Carolina follow this form of government.
