The Huntersville Parks and Recreation Department's Athletic Division makes every effort to provide the citizens of Huntersville with high quality, fun filled programs. If there are leagues, programs or events you wish to see that are currently not listed, please contact the Department. All input is appreciated as we strive to exceed the expectations and needs of our participants and town residents. Your feedback gives us the opportunity and allows us to accomplish this.
The Huntersville Parks and Recreation Department's Athletic Division offers a large variety of programs to the citizens of Huntersville at the lowest cost possible. There are offerings during each season to keep you active the entire year. The department offered nearly 200 successful leagues, programs, and special events to over 16,000 participants last year. The programs we offer reach a large audience ranging in age from 3 year olds to senior citizens. Our program list is extremely diverse as we have "Something for Everyone". We take great pride in our Department and our Town in serving our participants to the best of our ability.

Huntersville Parks and Recreation Department welcomes individuals of all abilities into its programs and activities and encourages the individuals to participate as independently as is possible in the activity of his/her choice. If you are not sure what type of assistance or reasonable accommodations is appropriate for you in a particular program, please contact the Department Staff.

Programs are designed to meet the unique needs of individuals of all ages with physical, mental, and/or emotional disabilities and include: day camps, after school programs, crafts and cultural arts, bowling leagues, adaptive sports, parties and dances, holiday themes, and more. Services provided through Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Therapeutic Division include leisure assessment, leisure counseling, leisure education, and skill development, adaptive recreation and inclusion support.
