Enrichment Program

  
 Our ASEP offers children grades K-5 a relaxed, fun and safe environment.  They will participate in team building activities, sports, and most importantly help with homework.  

CMS bus transportation will only be provided from Blythe Elementary School.  An additional $15 transportation fee per month will be applicable for all students needing transportation to the Waymer Community Center.

Children’s Theatre of Charlotte Education Programs

Children’s Theatre of Charlotte: Creative Drama                 
Creative Drama classes offer a playful introduction to performing. Students express themselves, build confidence, explore their imagination and develop social skills while learning theatre concepts and terminology. New materials are explored every session and change each year to create an engaging experience as children progress through the program.

All classes will be held in the old police department on Gilead Rd.

Children’s Theatre of Charlotte: My Spotlight   
My Spotlight (Ages 3-4) Each week a new journey is taken as stories come to life through creative drama and movement activities. Social development, public speaking and theatre concepts combine this fun, creative exploration. This class experience promotes independence and is appropriate for both beginning and returning students. Family and friends are invited to a Sharing on the final class day.

Children’s Theatre of Charlotte: Story Starters (Ages 5-6)
Using classic and current children’s literature as a framework, students will acquire foundational acting skills and theatre vocabulary to dramatize a variety of stories. Appropriate for both beginning and returning students. Family and friends are invited to a Sharing on the final day of class.

Children’s Theatre of Charlotte: Shooting Stars
Shooting Stars (1st & 2nd Grade) Foundational theatre and acting skills fuse creative and social experiences by exploring elements of a story, improvisation, movement, blocking, can characterization. This class is a great introductory experience before students enter the School of Theatre training and is appropriate for both beginning and returning.

Kindermusik encourages family involvement while using music to explore and build early childhood development skills.  Families will enjoy an hour of musical activites which include instrument playing, singing, and dancing.

RSVP is required to participate in class due to limited space.
