The department strives to develop and maintain safe and attractive parks and recreation areas; to partner and cooperate with other town departments, area agencies, sponsors and organizations to address the leisure needs of residents in the most cost-effective manner, and to support the physical, mental, moral and economic health of our community through provision and promotion of special events as well as traditional recreational programs and opportunities.
Huntersville Parks and Recreation Department's parks division maintains and operates over 230 acres of developed parkland and over 410 acres of undeveloped parkland.
