Greenway
Park is a small neighborhood park on the corner of Greenway
and Dallas Streets. Shaded by trees, this quiet park offers
a great place to relax and unwind. Come read a book under the
large oak tree or enjoy the playground structure and swings.

2-acre park is located on Glendale Drive; between Fourth and
Fifth Streets. In 2004, Abernathy Park went through some renovations,
which include a new full court basketball court and a brand
new playground. This park is a great place for a fun day outside

ten acre site houses multiple soccer/football fields varying
in sizes. The Town of Huntersville leases this land from Charlotte

acres of recreation fun. North Mecklenburg Park is located in
the north end of Huntersville on Old Statesville Road at 16131
Old Statesville Rd. These aesthetic surroundings offer recreational
activities for the entire family to enjoy. This park received
the Outstanding Park Award from the National Softball Association
in 2002 and 2008.

This 13 acre park is located on Holbrooks Road, This park consists of one lighted adult softball field, one youth softball field, a multipurpose field, covered shelter with restrooms, two outdoor basketball courts and a playground structure. Picnic tables are located around the site, making this a perfect place for an outdoor barbecue.

This small
neighborhood park offers amenities like none other in the Town
limits. This site includes a large, covered shelter and an old
caboose. During the summer, this park is the site for the Main
and Maxwell Market. Local farmers have joined this farmer's
market to offer locally grown produce to everyone in the area.
Activities at this site also include the annual LaLaCaboosa
Festival.

Located on Holbrooks Road, this recreation center consists of an 8,000sq. ft. indoor gymnasium. The Waymer Center is home to the department's after-school and summer camp programs. The Center can also be rented for a minimal fee. This gymnasium facility is now air-conditioned.

The Arts and Cultural
Center was formerly the North Mecklenburg Branch Library.
This 1,500sq.ft center is available for public meetings, programs
and other events. This facility has off street parking for
twenty cars. Building capacity is 50 people.
The Arts & Cultural Center offers
a variety of programs throughout the year. The room can also
be rented for a minimal fee.

this joint venture between the Town Huntersville and Charlotte-Mecklenburg
Schools in 2000 has provided further recreation opportunities
for Huntersville residents as well as students of Huntersville
Elementary.
The Department will offer a variety
of programs throughout the year and the gym will be open at
certain times for open play. The gym can also be rented for
a minimal fee for sports practice.

Opened in April of 2009, Bradford Park is Huntersville’s largest and newest park which sits on 213 acres. This park was jointly developed by the Town of Huntersville and Mecklenburg County. This park will help the town meet the growing recreation needs of the area. Bradford Park is located on Hwy 73 just east of Ramah Church Road. This park is an ideal location for large sporting and community events.
