The 2020 Census is really important for Mecklenburg County.  It helps bring valuable resources to our community, such as federal funding for things like healthcare, education and transportation. Census Day is coming April 1, and we need everyone to “Make it Count” by completing the census.  The census is convenient, safe, required and important to our town and county!  The U.S. Census Bureau will keep your information confidential and secure.

Another potential benefit for our state this year is that we are likely to gain and additional seat in the U.S. House of Representatives, as the number of seats is based on census data. North Carolina currently has 13 seats our state very likely missed gaining a congressional seat by only 15,800 people in 2010.

Help us ensure a complete count by completing the census for yourself and your family and helping to spread the word about the importance of the census to your friends and family
