Fresh Ginger Ale
2 c Water
1 1/2 c Raisins
2 c Sugar
5-6 oz Fresh Ginger
2 pinches Black Pepper
Soda water
Finely chop the ginger or process in a food processor. Don't worry about peeling. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and simmer for approximately 30 minutes. Strain syrup, mashing to get all the flavor. Gently mix syrup into 2 quarts of soda water or alternately dilute with two quarts of water and carbonate using a CO2 tank and a Carb Cap. Ingredients can be adjusted for personal taste.
Peach Jalapeno Soda
2 c Water
4 Fresh Peaches
1 Jalapeno Pepper
1 c Sugar
1 c Fresh Local Honey
Remove pits from peaches and roughly chop. Slice jalapeno in half. Add both to a saucepan with the honey, sugar and 2 cups of water and simmer for approximately 30 minutes. Strain syrup, mashing to get all of the flavor. Gently mix syrup into 2 quarts of soda water or alternately dilute with two quarts of water and carbonate using a CO2 tank and a Carb Cap. Ingredients can be adjusted for personal taste.
