Your very own Lake Norman Teen Council are the hosts of this year’s 2020 State Youth Council Conference. Support your local and North Carolina State Youth Council in their celebration of leadership, civic engagement and service accomplishment over the course of this school year. If you are interested in finding ways to support your council in this amazing celebration or any of their other endeavors, please contact Lindsay Small with Huntersville Parks & Recreation at LSmall@huntersville.org

Regular Meetings

  • 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month 
  • 6:30 pm -7:45 pm
  • Cornelius Town Hall - Community Room / 21445 Catawba Avenue, Cornelius, NC 28031

All Meetings are at Cornelius Town Hall unless noted otherwise.

Want to meet new friends or have something fun to do that looks great on your college application? This organization provides service projects, workshops, campus cruises, and the opportunity to go on teen trips! We will be working on local service projects, leadership, team building and fundraiser opportunities. You may come to one of our meetings to learn more about the council and how to join the fun. Teen Council Meetings

The Teen Council meetings start in September and run through May on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.

The meetings will cover planning for activities, fundraisers, events and social outings. If you have friends who are interested in participating in the council, please ask them to attend a meeting. 

How to Join the Teen Council

To be eligible for the upcoming school year an applicant must turn in their application which needs to include a personal statement and a letter of recommendation which will be handled by the Executive Board and Advisors. This council is sponsored by the Parks and Recreation Departments of Cornelius, Huntersville and Davidson. For more information, please call your local department adviser.

Prospective applicants are encouraged to attend a Teen Council function prior to applying.
