Description | This plan offers a number of transportation and land use recommendations, including retail/commercial development at the intersection of Beatties Ford Road and Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road; low and medium density residential development along Beatties Ford Road; and a mixed use low intensity “urban village”, immediately adjacent to the Long Creek Elementary School. An important component is the creation of a new street network, which will accommodate both local and regional traffic demand. Under the plan, Beatties Ford Road will transform into a signature four-lane boulevard gateway into Huntersville, lined with shop-front buildings, street trees and sidewalks, creating a safe and attractive pedestrian friendly environment. |
