Summer Youth Camp

Our School Resource Officers teach various classes throughout the year to help our youth make good choices for their future. The classes focus on drug and alcohol prevention, effective communication, active listening, how to stop bullying, good citizenship, helping others, and other positive choices.

Our Summer Camp is designed to provide children, ages 10-15, with positive activities and an opportunity to put what they learned into action. The camps are organized/supervised by School Resource Officers from the Huntersville Police Department and are the only camps where students get to spend the week with police officers on a personal level. We spend time each day talking about different aspects of the police department.

Space is limited to 24 campers per week and slots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. (The registration system will continue to accept applications even after the camps are full. Spots will be allotted using the time stamp given when the application is processed by the system. Once an individual camp is full, additional applications will be placed on a waiting list.)
