[ARCHIVED] Pre-Development Group for Conditional Rezonings

The Town of Huntersville formed a Pre-Development Group in 2016 to provide a no-cost option for interested parties to receive feedback on Conditional Rezoning proposals prior to submitting an official rezoning request.  During each meeting, the applicant is provided five minutes to present their proposal. After the presentation, each Pre-Development member will have an opportunity to ask questions and/or provide feedback.  With the feedback received, applicants can choose to refine their idea and revisit the Pre-Development Group, move forward with their idea, or table their conditional rezoning proposal.

  • Group meets as-needed
  • Meetings are scheduled by Planning Staff
  • 10-day lead time needed to organize meeting
  • Applicants are not required to submit plans
  • Applicants have 5 minutes to present
  • Pre-Development Group asks questions and/or provides feedback
  • No formal vote taken
  • Open to public
