Field of Honor - Huntersville 9/11 Memorial Event

Huntersville remembers the innocent loss of life when hijacked planes crashed into buildings and farmland in unspeakable acts of terror 22 years ago on September 11, 2001. The annual Field of Honor® display of flags on the Huntersville Town Center lawn reminds us that freedom has a cost.

We invite community members to visit the flags, pause, reflect, and participate in a moment of silence in remembrance of those who lost their lives and give thanks to those still serving us today.

Town Center, found in the heart of Huntersville, provides the site for the town’s 6th Annual Field of Honor® Display. The inspiring formation of 200 United States Flags will bring the community together so that adults may remember, and that youth may learn. It is an experience hard to describe, but never to be forgotten.

Please visit the Huntersville Field of Honor® display and walk among the posted flags. The display is open to all without charge.
