[ARCHIVED] Veterans Park Ribbon Cutting, Grand Opening & Memorial Day Ceremony

Ribbon Cutting

The Town of Huntersville would like to invite you to the ribbon cutting for Veterans Park at Main & Maxwell starting at 10:30am. The public is encouraged to attend to see the bricks that were purchased by the community for the memorial. 

The 17th Annual Memorial Day Ceremony will follow.  The ceremony will begin promptly at 11:00 am at Veterans Park (201 Huntersville-Concord Rd.) on Monday, May 28th.
Take this opportunity to show your appreciation to our service men and women.

The ceremony will feature Master of Ceremonies Mayor John Aneralla. Community Singers of Lake Norman will start singing at 10:45pm for pre-ceremony enjoyment and throughout the event. There will be a flag folding presentation by the Cadets from North Mecklenburg High School Junior ROTC. Huntersville Police Department will be present with their Honor Guard. Honored Guests from each branch of service will be speaking along with selected post members from American Legion Post 321 who will be presenting the wreath. David Thornburg will be playing the bagpipe and Cub Scout pack 19 and Troop 19 will be handing out flags to the public.

 This event is FREE to the public.
